Effective the 01st of November an extra flight to/from Amsterdam Schiphol will be operated on Mondays. The flight will be operated in a two class configuration (Economy and Business Class) by State of the Art Airbus 319. Afriqiyah Airways, announces that our flight 8U771 had an accident during landing at Tripoli Airport at 04.00 AM / 06.00 AM Tripoli Time at today Wednesday the 12th of May 2010.
At this moment there is no further information concerning possible casualties and survivors. The information is that 93 passengers and 11 crew members are on board. The competent authorities are conducting the search and rescue mission.

The first State of the Art long-haul aircraft Airbus 330 has arrived in Tripoli. The coming weeks more brand new aircrafts of the types A330 and A319 will join the fleet.
